Dear Coalition Friends and Supporters,
The Prince William County Board of Supervisors came out of closed session this afternoon at 4:15 PM after Supervisor Angry read a resolution to withdraw from the Digital Gateway lawsuit (not pursue an appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court). There was no pomp, nor circumstance. There was a call to vote on the resolution. It was a unanimous vote to withdraw.
Here is a video of their vote: BOCS Withdrawal Vote from Digital Gateway lawsuit
Never before has such a small group of people made such a difference to their community and to their state than Prince William County residents. The Oak Valley lawsuit plaintiffs withstood the onslaught of the storm that QTS and Compass brought to their front door. They were able to bend and never break. The American Battlefield Trust and the four remaining citizen plaintiffs in the parallel lawsuit never gave up, and are a testament to their love of their community.
The Coalition to Protect Prince William County is forever grateful to the residents and to this board for stepping through the door that we worked so hard to open.
