Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

The Coalition to Protect Prince William County (“the Coalition”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect on protectpwc.org and how we use it.

What we collect. When you sign a petition, volunteer, or contact us, we collect what you type into the form, such as your name, email address, zip code, whether you live in Prince William County, and the issues you care about. Like most websites, our host also records basic technical information such as your browser type and IP address.

How we use it. We use your information to count and deliver petitions, keep you updated on land use, data center and transmission issues in Prince William County, and answer your messages. We don’t sell, rent or trade your information.

Emails. Anyone who signs a petition, volunteers, or signs up for anything on this site is added to the Coalition’s email list for updates and action alerts. We use your email only for our own communications. We never sell, rent or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to contact@protectpwc.org.

Petitions. When we deliver a petition to public officials, we may include signers’ names and zip codes so officials can see who in their community supports it. We never share your email address or other contact details.

Your choices. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email contact@protectpwc.org or write to PO Box 474, Haymarket, VA 20168.

Cookies and outside services. The site may use cookies and embedded content from other sites, such as maps, videos and news articles. Those services follow their own privacy policies.

Changes. If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
