Unfortunately, what is happening here in Prince William is not unique.
MORE people – MORE RESIDENTS – need to speak up. Get out from behind your keyboards and step away from your screens! Because these impacts are happening here, and THROUGHOUT the state. There is nowhere that you can move to get away from it. Development of every kind is not being constrained.

The Planning Commission is voting on multiple critical items TOMORROW! PLEASE use what we have provided below and give them your input.
ISSUES AND TALKING POINTS:

Bad Road Projects: Road expansion projects throughout the western end of the remaining rural areas in the GAINESVILLE District.
VOTE YES to approve the two below CPAs which will REMOVE MULTIPLE boondoggle AND unnecessary road expansion projects.
- These road expansions ONLY incentivize sprawl
- Ultimately spend hundreds of millions of YOUR taxpayer dollars
- Harm our sustainability efforts by incentivizing development in long range land use Agricultural/Forestal areas
E) Sudley Road Widening – VOTE YES TO APPROVE THE CPA TO REMOVE THIS MOBILITY PROJECT FROM THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
-Not enough right-of-way
-Eminent domain acquisition cost – widening Sudley Rd. from Rte. 29 to Rte. 15 – would be astronomical
-Several HUNDRED homes will be impacted through eminent domain
-Future PWC land use map shows this area staying Ag/Forestal
F) Healthcote Blvd. extension to terminate onto Antioch Road – VOTE YES TO APPROVE THE CPA TO REMOVE THIS MOBILITY PROJECT FROM THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
-Not enough right-of-way
-Eminent domain cost would be astronomical
-Future land use map show area staying Ag/Forestal
-Heathcote dumping out onto rural road at blind curve and line of site issues at Antioch two lane bridge WILL create dangerous driving conditions on Antioch Rd.
-Destruction of one of the few remaining five generational working family farms
-Antioch Rd. is the first scenic byway adopted by the state in the entire county. Why is there an effort to ruin one of our few scenic byways?
-Harms effort to highlight new Thoroughfare town park project by putting pressure on development in rural areas
TELL THE PLANNING COMMISSIONERS to just SAY YES to the CPAs to remove these terrible road projects. PROTECT PROPERTY RIGHTS!

Data Center Infrastructure Project:
D) Data Center Substation near homes – VOTE TO DENY or DEFER this substation
-Inadequate opportunity to accessible application materials
-Inadequate location of signs
-No public conversation regarding noise and impacts on community
ALL FOR DATA CENTER DEVELOPMENT! The BOCS needs to be accountable and vote on every energy infrastructure project.
