VOTE Tomorrow!

Dear Neighbors, Friends, and PWC Residents,

Over the past two years – together:

  • We have traveled twice to Richmond to support legislation to control data center proliferation.
  • We have marched in a parade highlighting the unique qualities of our Rural Crescent.
  • We have initiated TWO recalls:  one for Pete Candland, and one for Ann Wheeler.
  • We have gathered together at the McCoart building to get our opposition to the Digitial Gateway, Devlin, Villages, Potomac Technology Park, the Pathway to 2040 Comprehensive Plan (and more) on the record.
  • And, we have held many protests; the most recent at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner which garnered the attention of the Lt. Governor of Virginia.

What residents are doing here in Prince William is having a ripple effect.

What WE are doing here in Prince Willam is proving that connections to people, to your neighbors, to your community cannot be crushed by lies or personal attacks.  What we have shown is that people matter over profit.

We cannot beat Ann Wheeler’s bank account, not personally or politically.  She has raised obscene amounts of money from every industry that backs development, and from those who will personally benefit by selling out for millions – leaving all of us to deal with and suffer through the consequences.

What WE HAVE cannot be bought:  our integrity; our compassion for one another; and our belief that what we are fighting for is something much bigger than just our back yard.

The outside influence of developers, and in particular the data center industry, has infected our local politics in ways we have never before witnessed.  The only antidote is change – change in our leadership.

If you signed the recalls, now is the time to step up and use the power of your signature again. Your voice is your vote.

Ann is trying to claw her way to victory, hoping that her dirty data center money will prevail over integrity and justice.  Trust us, Ann believed the destruction of communities, Hallowed Ground, and our Rural Crescent would be a cake walk.

But we have shown her we will not stand idly by and watch that happen.  We have shown her that we will stand up to her bullying and her sell-out to moneyed authoritarian leadership.  We cannot know the future, but if she prevails, it will not be because we rolled over in fear or intimidation.

After Pete Candland was forced to resign because of his significant financial and moral conflicts of interest, in spite of the infusion of data center money to his opponent, Bob Weir won a decisive victory as the Gainesville district supervisor.

We can make change happen again!  It’s in your hands.

Find your polling location, VOTE tomorrow Tuesday, June 20th.

FIRE “Corrupt Ann Wheeler Dealer” in one day – tomorrow!

Vote for Deshundra Jefferson in the Democratic primary.  Deshundra refused to take tainted Data Center money.   If you will only vote Republican, please vote for Jeanine Lawson against Digital Gateway landowner Ken Knarr.

We have included pictures to remind ……… We are stronger together.  Only empathy, compassion, integrity – and your vote – will triumph over greed.
