All the things citizens have pushed back on over the last two decades has been wrapped up like a massive Christmas gift and given to developers in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan update being voted on by the Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday, December 13.
With this plan, they have created a vehicle to exclude citizen oversight and input. If passed, developers will get what they want across the county – industrial AND residential sprawl – with no sustainability. How are county residents going to bear the burden for their master plan: footing the bill for all the required industrial and urban infrastructure AND ensuring quality schools for our children with high-density residential sprawl?
