Was QTS caught “Self Serving” water from Fayette County Water System in Georgia??

Dear Coalition Friends and Supporters,

If events did not bring bad news to QTS and their parent company Blackstone, there would be no news.

These documents below, discovered through a FOIA request in Fayetteville, Georgia, bring to light numerous questions.

(Take action below.)

The FIRST glaring question:  Did QTS connect to the public water utility without permission?

The SECOND glaring question:  Did they give false information on their original application submission when they disclosed total water usage?

The THIRD glaring question:  What are the consequences of these actions?

QTS, and therefore by default, their parent company Blackstone as well, are not good corporate neighbors.  They are even being sued by their own contract holders in the Digital Gateway.  They refuse to accept that their business is not wanted here, next to the Manassas National Battlefield Park, located ON hallowed ground and IN the headwaters of a regional drinking supply watershed for up to two million people.

The coverage on the Digital Gateway is amplifying their increasingly growing bad corporate image.

Plan for massive Virginia data center complex heads to state supreme court – The Washington Post

Developer asks Virginia Supreme Court to overturn ruling blocking data centers near battlefield

“Board Chair Deshundra Jefferson, who defeated Ms. Wheeler in a 2024 Democratic primary, has joined Republicans in opposing the project, making a rezoning redo vote unlikely to succeed. The county declined to comment on active litigation.
Meanwhile, Compass has cut its losses.”

“Compass has reached the unfortunate conclusion that we cannot move forward with the Prince William Digital Gateway project,” AJ Byers, the company’s president, said in a statement. “While we still believe this project offered significant benefits for the region and our neighbors, recent legal actions and compounding regulatory hurdles have effectively closed a viable path forward.”

“Opponents say the fight has sent a message beyond Prince William County.
“The entire data center industry is back on its heels because they thought they could bully communities and local governments into accepting the plundering of their energy grid, their water resources, and their overall quality of life,” said Elena Schlossberg, executive director of the Coalition to Protect Prince William County, which formed to oppose the project. “The digital gateway project is ground zero for igniting a backlash, and we have no intention of relenting.”

It is time to end the taxpayer subsidy to the wealthiest industry in the world. Companies like QTS and Blackstone don’t deserve a tax break! Email the new Governor – who promised affordability and accountability.
