Letter to the Editor: Reader critical of newspaper’s coverage – Bull Run Observer

To the Editor:

The headline of your Nov. 12 2021 edition reads:

“Area’s top elected officials evaluate their service to public”

The article does not even mention Western Prince William County’s Supervisor Pete Candland. Rather you devoted an entire page to the person wo was elected by folks in eastern PWC to the position of Chair, Ann Wheeler. You provided Ann Wheeler a platform to brag about “making positive changes that will have lasting impacts on residents…” The “lasting impact” the domineering agent of “positive changes” is driving is the planting of numerous large Data Centers throughout western PWC.

Take a short drive up Pageland Lane to see western PWC today. Then drive into Loudoun County, up Loudoun County Parkway, for a view of what Ann Wheeler wants Pageland Lane to become.

Thanks to Ann Wheeler, soon the intersection of Catharpin Road and Washington Street in Haymarket will be chock full of very large Data Centers. This will indeed be a change with “lasting impact,” but, regrettably a terrible one.

The Bull Run Observer has deserted the people of western Prince William County to eagerly promote the destruction of our natural and open space by the planting of huge Data Centers.
