Corey Stewart’s Letter To Senator Kaine Supporting Journey Through Hallowed Ground

Recently a small Coalition team visited with Senator Kaine’s legislative aides. We wanted to share how the impending threat of the Haymarket transmission line to power the Amazon data center would permanently scar the legacy of the Journey Through Hallowed Ground.  We asked Chairman Stewart to send letter of support to Senator Kaine, demonstrating Prince William County’s commitment to this unique federal designation.

Now that Chairman Stewart’s letter has been formally sent to Senator Kaine, we hope that Senator Kaine’s constituents can look forward to a similar letter of support from him.

The only route that will not harm the Journey Through Hallowed Ground is Dominion Power’s I66 Hybrid proposed route.

Prince William County has created numerous conservation efforts to help protect the historic and scenic presence along The Bull Run Mountains and The National Heritage Area within its bounds. Prince William County has acknowledged the necessity to preserve Virginia’s principal historic, architectural, archaeological, and cultural resources through partnership along with the Federal and State governments as well as private organizations, and citizens residing in the designated area.
