Dear President Biden,
I urge you NOT to sign an Executive Order permitting Big Tech access to
Federal Lands, and the fast-tracking of energy production.
Please do not abuse the public trust by allowing the wealthiest corporations
in the world to steamroll through important oversight that protects my
family, my community, and my pocketbook.
Big Tech has abused the levers of government on a local and state level for
far too long. Now they want your help to subsume oversight on a Federal
level? We say enough!
Our communities deserve better. We deserve to have a voice in how our homes
and our quality of life are impacted by industrial development and THEIR
stratospheric energy demands.
Please do NOT sign an executive order abdicating protections for citizens
when it comes to data center siting, date center power generation, or data
center accountability.
Virginia has just begun to study the impacts of data centers. With the highest concentration of data centers on the planet, we are a roadmap to the
impacts of "unconstrained" data center development.
We need MORE oversight to protect our neighborhoods and our quality of life
-- NOT LESS oversight.
