“How am I impacted?”

People keep asking us if they will be impacted by transmission lines and substations required for Data Centers popping up throughout communities.

You can easily see many of the impacts – in these easy-to-understand overviews, with MAPS included.

These overviews summarize the plans from our electric power providers, PJM, Dominion, and others, who are proposing more webs of transmission lines and substations — THEY SAY because of the power overload demand from the Northern Virginia Data Centers already in operation.

NOTE:  Data Centers which have not yet been approved will be addressed by different and additional PJM/Dominion transmission line and substation projects — if and when approved.

Proposal overviews are in batches:

  • Those proposals directly impacting Prince William County neighborhoods
  • Those proposals directly impacting Loudoun County neighborhoods
  • Those proposals directly impacting Fauquier and Fairfax Counties neighborhoods
  • Those proposals directly impacting All Others: VA Counties, Maryland, and Pennsylvania

Of course, as you will see, each batch of proposals impact many more jurisdictions and neighborhoods.  All the proposed plans impact the entire region.  To make it easier to understand, different corridors have been grouped starting first with those impacting our county, then emanating out from here.

The information in the overviews has been updated with the latest input and decision timelines from PJM – from just last week!

PLEASE forward this email and/or share the link to ensure people all across our communities become aware and join in the drive to stop any more Data Center proliferation.
