BREAKING NEWS!

It is really important that people understand the significance of Catharpin Valley Estates homeowners’ 99% participation in donating to the Democratic Candidate running in the February 21st Special Election for the open Gainesville Supervisor seat — ALL with the  exact same $250 donation amount (see list below).

(If you are curious, here is the link to Bob Weir’s donor list)

The community of Catharpin Valley Estates was excluded by Chair Ann Wheeler from being added into the Digital Gateway scope. It was not because she suddenly cared about data center blight running rampant.  It was because the adjacent Oak Valley community was incredibly upset.

Chair Wheeler addresses misinformation about Catharpin Valley Estates as part of PWDG CPA: September 20, 2022 BOCS Meeting

No one needs to be Sherlock Holmes to understand what is now happening.  There appears to be is a deal afoot:  to also rezone Catharpin Valley Estates for even more data centers, following the upcoming Digital Gateway rezoning BOCS vote, thus creating the nexus for ANOTHER data center assemblage of nearly 3000 acres ALSO being put together, RIGHT NOW, along the Sanders Lane corridor.

  • Ever since Pete Candland visited Sanders Lane, while holding office as the Gainesville Supervisor, there has been an ongoing effort to put together another assemblage of homes, only BIGGER than the Digital Gateway.
  • The meeting was partly instigated by Dori Burner, one of the organizers of an assemblage on Pageland Lane, who had previously appeared at a Sanders Lane home to talk to residents. According to a letter that served as an invitation to the meeting, Burner had met with some homeowners on Sanders Lane and told them that she and a partner had lined up data center land buyers if residents wanted to sell. The letter suggested sales of $1 million an acre were possible.
  • We know that there are already people who have signed on to NDAs throughout the Sanders Lane Corridor. This is a secret in PLAIN SIGHT.
  • We know that Sanders Lane residents, once passionately engaged to fight the Digital Gateway and to stop the Bi-County Parkway, have now gone completely silent.
  • The nexus to make this happen is the gobbling up of Catharpin Valley Estates.
  • We know that data center developers in Loudoun County WANT the Cloud South proposal to go forward, which connects to Sanders Lane via the Bi County Parkway – the parkway which IS being planned with the Digital Gateway.

Wake up western Prince William County.   Wake up Gainesville District.

We are turning into the “Tech Toilet” of the world:

Thousands AND thousands of acres converted into industrial desolation; beautiful countryside turned into massive 10 story concrete data centers as far as the eye can see; a web of high voltage electric transmission lines and substations.

With the threat of thousands of diesel generators running during the peak load/hottest hours of the day to provide power for up to 300 data centers in Northern Virginia this summer, since the regional electric grid cannot withstand the pressure of the data centers’ electricity demands, our elected leaders have got to stop burying their heads in the sand, and refusing to face the stark reality that is facing ALL OF US.
