Stand Together to Fight the Power Lines!
Dear Friends,
When I read the article in Friday’s Washington Post, that Dominion was asking the State Corporation Commission to approve the overhead I-66 route, I looked online but found no document to substantiate the story other than the Washington Post itself.
The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, who owns the Amazon Company and the Amazon data center that is at the center of the electric power tower fight.
Mr. Bezos wants us to go away, he wants us to drop our guard and not be alert.
Bottom line, I hope you will continue to join me to fight every monster power tower route Dominion proposes, except the underground hybrid route, as I have done for the past three years. I have NO plan B.
There is no reason for Dominion customers to pay for roughly six miles of high voltage electric power lines on eleven story high power towers, to serve Jeff Bezos and his data center which they chose to locate outside of the industrial area which had adequate power and other facilities.
Powerful special interests should not receive privileged treatment from a state regulated utility!
Join your neighbors and friends to stand in solidarity against any route but the underground hybrid I-66 route at Community Day on Carver Road this Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 PM. All residents of all communities affected by the power lines are welcome. More information is available on the Protect PWC website.
Sincerely,
Delegate Bob Marshall
P.S. Please share this with your family, friends and neighbors on social media!
